Nomination Angelika Müller as MNI’s president

MNI is pleased to announce it has named at its annual General Assembly Ms Angelika Müller, from B.Braun as its new President effective 27 April, 2023. As a thought leader in the sector and expert in the field of medical nutrition, Angelika brings a wealth of leadership experience and a passion for promoting positive change within the field.

“Angelika’s appointment as President of MNI is a clear reflection of the association’s current state: implementing essential changes adopted in the last two years to fulfill our compliance and transparency duties and support even more ambitious programmes and activities, continuing on her predecessor’s work, Manuela Schaflechner, from Baxter” said Executive Director, Catherine Hartmann. She will ensure that our recently adopted five-year strategy will be put in practice and that set goals are reached. “I am honoured to take on this role for MNI, its members, and more importantly, to support patients who need nutritional support; I will do my utmost to guide the association in a way that will provide for them as best as possible,” said Angelika on her day of the appointment. “I know I can count on my colleagues from the Executive Committee and staff members to help me develop and grow MNI in the best interests of the sector and patients”, she added.

Angelika comes to MNI from her role as Vice President of the association and as Managing Director of NUTRICHEM Diät + Pharma GmbH a B.Braun company. Angelika was trained as a nurse and practised this profession for over ten years before joining the medical nutrition industry where she held different roles with Baxter, Fresenius Kabi and BBraun (NUTRICHEM) – an experience that allowed her to fully understand the challenges and opportunities the sector faces. She will hold the President’s role for a two-year term, as per MNI’s articles of association.
